Bosch Distributor Disassembly Question

Quick question: When disassembling the distributor, to remove the shaft and base plate, is it as simple as pushing it up from the bottom?

I do have everything else apart (see picture).

yes. If there's resistance, it's likely because the shaft is gummed up with crusty oil.

The shaft was indeed gummed up with crusty oil, and took some persistence to remove. I'm hoping the bearings in the distributor housing weren't damaged (they looked ok, but....)
