the CD91 look like designed for children's compared to them
Serious don't want to offend anyone, you have to use what you can get. The CD92 looks deeper than the CD91 but not as deep as the CD30. Remember the offset of the CD92 is something like 19 and of the CD30 it is something like 5 or 7 if I remember right. But fitting CD92 with 185/60 in the front and 205/60 in the back does look really neat.

Those are dead ringers for the cheapo "revolution" wheels that are sold in the UK. Sure they are fast sellers, but only 'cos they are so cheap and they sell smaller rim sizes for mini's (hence all the mini-heads buy them to make their clapped out old rustboxes look better - and there is one car that can honestly be said to rust worse than a Fiat!)

Please don't take me too seriously on this. I have no doubt that a true mag-ally wheel is going to be somewhat more valuable than a standard "heavy" (heavier than steel at least) aluminium wheel.
The problem in the UK (and from what Matthias said the rest of Europe) is that the market is pretty much flooded with 4-spoke revolution wheels (or similar) which are basically just cheap alternatives to standard steel wheels. On the good side they come in a truely astounding range of sizes (I think the 10J12 size takes the biscuit!)
I appreciate that the styling market in the US is different from that in the UK and for all I know those 4-spokes are going to send anyone into a fit of drooling as soon as they set eyes on them!<!-- google_ad_section_end -->

Since Fiat left the North American market so long ago, almost no one is left selling aftermarket wheels here that fit our cars. So that in itself makes any 4x98 wheel something of a unique find here, even the crappiest ones (of which Campys are certainly not)...
Believe me, if I could just go down the street to any random tire shop and see 4x98 wheels sitting there for sale, I would faint!! Well, besides Panasports - those are just about the only relatively common aftermarket wheel you can buy from wheel shops around here.
Fortunately for racers, there is at least a fair selection of race wheels available in the US, but they are rarely suitable for street use! We have (compared to overseas) limited choices of wheels that fit & that can be found without paying a real fortune. The pisser is that, because there are only a couple of wheel types readily available (ie: Panasport) around here, just about every Fiat on the road over here is wearing the same kinds of wheel! Kind of like the cliche' of 2 women showing up at a party in the same evening gown
25 Fiats wearing stock wheels, maybe one or two have gone to the top of the heap by bolting on a set of CD-30s, Cromodora Daytonas or Campys. These are the most desirable of our limited wheel choices for street use, so even the "oohs & ahhs" are all looking the same here!
I can't even count how many Fiats have Panasport wheels on them around here. But even more common, the array of stock used Fiat wheels are about the only thing that can be readily found for even a reasonable price. I think that over half of all the X1/9s in our group are wearing CD-91s because of the lack of other reasonably priced options on our market. Heck, even I have a set! I also have a set of "Iron Cross" wheels, another of the more common stock wheels here, as well as the set of stamped steel wheels from my '80 X, and some other misc. old wheels that are rather unattractive
Xheads here are often tempted by the wide variety of new & modern wheels available overseas in 4x98. I myself am guilty of scouring the web looking at such things (worse than porn, I swear) - alas, most all of those are made for the "New Fiats" and have a front-wheel-drive offset which would never work on our cars without bulky adapters or at least several spacers & custom lugs, which can be dangerous if not done just right. Any way you slice it, that is a less desirable setup IMHO. Plus most FWD wheels look dumb on an X in my opinion because they have no "dish" to them.
So you see it is simple economics. We have few choices here, and they are just getting fewer with time. As this trend goes on, folks here are searching farther and getting more creative in trying to get a unique wheel for their street-driven cars. It is hard to do without spending a massive amount of $$. -Mac.

As with anything like this, value is what someone is willing to pay and how long you are willing to wait to find the kind of person that will fork out serious coin.
We Fiatisi are often frugal types, so you may need to wait awhile to find a deep-pockets individual. If I was in the market for some choice wheels, I'd start the bidding at $400 and I'm sure there would be several other players at that point. I think potential buyers may be scarce at $600, but those wheels could be worth even more to the right person.
Any other bidders out there?
Last summer I passed up a decent FI 124 Spider with a nice set of these wheels for $1000. Shoulda just snagged it, kept the wheels, and peddled the car, but no room at the inn. MM <!-- google_ad_section_end -->

Those are dead ringers for the cheapo "revolution" wheels that are sold in the UK. Sure they are fast sellers, but only 'cos they are so cheap and they sell smaller rim sizes for mini's (hence all the mini-heads buy them to make their clapped out old rustboxes look better - and there is one car that can honestly be said to rust worse than a Fiat!)
Of course if you're giving them away because they are so obviously worthless, I'm sure I could find them a good home

Please don't take me too seriously on this. I have no doubt that a true mag-ally wheel is going to be somewhat more valuable than a standard "heavy" (heavier than steel at least) aluminium wheel.
The problem in the UK (and from what Matthias said the rest of Europe) is that the market is pretty much flooded with 4-spoke revolution wheels (or similar) which are basically just cheap alternatives to standard steel wheels. On the good side they come in a truely astounding range of sizes (I think the 10J12 size takes the biscuit!)
I appreciate that the styling market in the US is different from that in the UK and for all I know those 4-spokes are going to send anyone into a fit of drooling as soon as they set eyes on them!<!-- google_ad_section_end -->

Since Fiat left the North American market so long ago, almost no one is left selling aftermarket wheels here that fit our cars. So that in itself makes any 4x98 wheel something of a unique find here, even the crappiest ones (of which Campys are certainly not)...
Believe me, if I could just go down the street to any random tire shop and see 4x98 wheels sitting there for sale, I would faint!! Well, besides Panasports - those are just about the only relatively common aftermarket wheel you can buy from wheel shops around here.
Fortunately for racers, there is at least a fair selection of race wheels available in the US, but they are rarely suitable for street use! We have (compared to overseas) limited choices of wheels that fit & that can be found without paying a real fortune. The pisser is that, because there are only a couple of wheel types readily available (ie: Panasport) around here, just about every Fiat on the road over here is wearing the same kinds of wheel! Kind of like the cliche' of 2 women showing up at a party in the same evening gown
I can't even count how many Fiats have Panasport wheels on them around here. But even more common, the array of stock used Fiat wheels are about the only thing that can be readily found for even a reasonable price. I think that over half of all the X1/9s in our group are wearing CD-91s because of the lack of other reasonably priced options on our market. Heck, even I have a set! I also have a set of "Iron Cross" wheels, another of the more common stock wheels here, as well as the set of stamped steel wheels from my '80 X, and some other misc. old wheels that are rather unattractive
Xheads here are often tempted by the wide variety of new & modern wheels available overseas in 4x98. I myself am guilty of scouring the web looking at such things (worse than porn, I swear) - alas, most all of those are made for the "New Fiats" and have a front-wheel-drive offset which would never work on our cars without bulky adapters or at least several spacers & custom lugs, which can be dangerous if not done just right. Any way you slice it, that is a less desirable setup IMHO. Plus most FWD wheels look dumb on an X in my opinion because they have no "dish" to them.
So you see it is simple economics. We have few choices here, and they are just getting fewer with time. As this trend goes on, folks here are searching farther and getting more creative in trying to get a unique wheel for their street-driven cars. It is hard to do without spending a massive amount of $$. -Mac.

As with anything like this, value is what someone is willing to pay and how long you are willing to wait to find the kind of person that will fork out serious coin.
We Fiatisi are often frugal types, so you may need to wait awhile to find a deep-pockets individual. If I was in the market for some choice wheels, I'd start the bidding at $400 and I'm sure there would be several other players at that point. I think potential buyers may be scarce at $600, but those wheels could be worth even more to the right person.
