[FONT=Trebuchet MS, Verdana, Tahoma, Arial]<!-- google_ad_section_start -->I don't know the "proper" jet size but if its all stock with a stock cam... then you probably already have the proper jet size.

A carb kit and a simple "boil-out" with a carb cleaner will work wonders...

When you reassemble the carb add a bit of gas to the bowl before installing the horn, then install the air/fuel (A/F)mixture screw 'til it stops (NOT TIGHT!!!), then back it off a turn and a half.

Remount carb and start engine. Allow it to warm up to operating temp and insure the choke butterfly is completely open. Adjust as necessary using the three screws on the side of the pot so its fully open when engine is warm.

Get it to idle around 750 rpm and adjust the A/F for MAXIMUM RPM, then readjust idle screw back down to 750 again, adjust the A/F again for MAX RPM and LEANEST (Screwed in the most) possible, readjust idle to 750.

That oughta do it.

Any questions... reply direct.

Tony

p.s. on 79's... the carb A/F and idle screws are accessed from the rear trunk with a long scredriver by removing two plastic plugs... I think your's is the same.

[FONT=Trebuchet MS, Verdana, Tahoma, Arial]<!-- google_ad_section_start -->Just use the spec sheet that is in the tech specs that accompany the Scorpion shop manual...You may not know it but the 34 dat (all versions) is used on lots of fiats of varying engine sizes...The best 34 would be the newer production with the slightly larger entry form...+ 1MM...not hardly noticable...Primary would be 170 air corrector, 120 Main and 50 idle...Secondary would be 200/130/70...also some non usa carbs have an acclerator pump cam that does not stop pumping at mid travel and they use a #45 pump jet...smaller but longer squirt...ours stock is #55 with the dead spot on the cam...Good luck...
