I usually NEVER post or look here for a number of reasons..

Regardless, the death of Jim Williams and Bob Pease has been on my mind since June 2011.

October 15, we attended a memorial for Jim Williams at the Computer History Museum.

After the presentation, I got a chance to meet and chat with Bob Dobkin, one of Linear Technology's founders , VP of engineering and CTO. Previous to this, I knew Bob from his Linear IC designs. Even back then, his designs told me this is one cleaver designer and had a very good understanding of how this analog stuff worked.

During my conversation with Bob, there were other significant design folks who literally dragged me into their conversation.. which was interesting.

Later that evening, Bob had a book autographing for LT's most recently published book on analog design (about 1000 pages worth). I purchased a copy out of novelty and just to get Bob's autograph.
What Bob wrote surprised me:

Looking at what Bob wrote, I asked Bob, "how did you know?" Bob's reply, "It did not take long for me to figure that out about you."

Bernice,

He was well known around here. That certainly would look at home on my shelf next to my other EE textbooks.
