Clutch Starter Interlock?

I just bought an 1987 X1/9. I need to determine if the car ever came with a Clutch Starter interlock (where you have to step on the clutch before the starter will operate). And if so, perhaps, a pointer where I can find the parts to recreate it?

The repair manual (to 1982) doesn't show any switches/relays that I can see.

Thanks!

No X1/9's came with an interlock in the US.

The 74 seat belt interlock system used a relay in the path of the starter solenoid circuit to enable/disable the starter. It can easily be rewired to take the load off the ignition switch.
