rx1900
1981 X1/9
Up for sale is a set of 4 CSA/Cheviot wheels.
13" x 5.5"
4 x 98 Fiat bolt pattern.
Seems to be an 18mm offset - perfect for an X1/9 or 124 Spider.
Made by CSA Wheels in Australia. Sold in Canada and USA as Cheviot Wheels.
Aluminum alloy. Quite light and strong - seem to be about 12 lbs each.
Straight and true - no cracks or dents - no corrosion - no curb rash !!
Very similar 5 spoke look as a Daytona wheel. In some ways I like the look better...
Not Fiat hub-centric. would require centering rings. Available from MWB or Ebay.
Set up for a shanked bolt and washer. Not easy to find those. Realistically would require conversion to studs and then use a shanked nut - those are easily available. Or I think you can get conversion washers to use with a tapered bolt.
Although these wheels are solid and in good shape....sadly the factory applied clear coat is now discolored and peeling. One would have to somehow ( paint stripper ? ) remove the remaining clear coat and go from there. I always figured they would look spectacular with painted spokes and a highly polished outer portion....
2 only centre caps included - but they are ugly - you would want to find something better....
$300 US for the set
Would prefer pick-up in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. But could pack and ship almost anywhere. Likely $80 or so to most places in USA.
More pics or details on request...but serious inquiries only please..
.And NO Bjwhite...just NO....put down the mouse and back slowly away from the keyboard...
