Subject: More about Dardo

Hi, Mac.

DARDO at the present is out of production. It
was made by CORONA between circa 1980 and circa 1985 (about 150 units total). CORONA belonged to a traditional bicycle industry called CALOY - "Dardo" is the nick-name of Ricardo, de big boss' son.

Between 1985 and 1990 another small garage (GRIFO) tried keep up the production but failled after about 20 units. Today there's not a Dardo's industry and, even, there's not Dardo in the market - and that includes the offers at the news pappers about used cars. Around the streets we dont see Dardos.

The Dardo used the Fiat 147 and Alfa Romeo parts - all adapted. There wans't many X 1/9 parts.

About "Padrão" (you don't have this sound "ão" -like a thunder spelled by the nose - means "pattern", in English, as Dardo means "Dart". There's no car named "PADRÃO", but this word is to much used in car's market: colors
"padrão", uphosltery "padrão", wheels "padrão", this means plain or without sophistications.

Is that all ? Any thing more, I'm here !

(As you prefer) ROCCO
