Drivers side door trim needed for ‘81X

Hello XWeb. I’m completing my interior re-install and I need one small plastic piece that completes the end of the chrome molding at the top of the interior drivers door toward the windshield. I’ve tried to capture the item I’m looking for in the attached pictures. With all of the parts cars out there someone must have one. The pictures show the entire molding and the individual picture shows the passenger side piece.

Hello Chris. That’s not the part I am looking for. Take a look at my pictures again. If you have that small plastic piece I will be interested.
 
You want the plastic tip at the forward end of the horizontal bright trim?
If so, the design changed in 1979. I am sold out on both early and late.
 
Tell you what, if you can send me the part and a postage paid self addressed envelope with it. I'll create a 3D model of it and print out two pieces for you and return the original part with them. It looks pretty easy to create
 
thank you KBabcock but I don’t have the drivers side pc to duplicate. I’ve got the passenger side which is the mirror image reverse of the drivers side. Can you use the passenger side as a template and reverse the part to make it a drivers side?

Yes that will work. Once created I can simply mirror it which will basically flip it from right to left. The hardest part is getting the curves right. Easy to enter anything with a dimension but curve are a little harder to pin down. Still should be close to the original.
