Today I made this pulley locking tool based on one I saw awhile ago from two guys garage staring Lou Santiago. Always enjoyed watching him, he has a nice spirt about him.
I had to remove the Intake cam pulley on the Scorpion and there is no room for an impact gun. So this is what I came up with
Couple of observations, water neck has to be removed. Cam pulley bolt removal was quite easy, I put a wrench on the opposing pulley and pushed as I pulled on the breaker bar to balance out the force. During removal the tool locks the pulleys well. During tightening the pulleys wanted to turn but locked. I think it has to do with the angle the angle iron was grabbing the teeth, maybe another "tool" with a different grab angle?
