Email from Xweb

Did anyone else get an email like the one below? Just wondering how it arrived at my gmail address that I don't have associated with XWeb.

Figured it out. I created a testuser on the gmail account a few weeks ago. Xweb wouldn't let me use my typical yahoo email since it was associated with my JimD account. i forgot I created that account. Oops.

Still, it seems a bit odd to get a unsolicited email from the forum like that. Is there a setting to block such things?

I think there's a setting at registration that controls. You can also make selections in your Preferences:

They may have become a bit more granular over time and product updates.

Thanks Mark. Sure enough there is a "email" section in the preferences to select various options. I guess it's been so long I did not recall it existing. But I've never heard of anyone receiving emails before this so never gave it a thought.

Ha, thanks for the empathy Paul. You should really feel sad that I forgot about creating a testuser in about 2 weeks time. Getting old sucks.
