I now have the nonAC heater box all put together and ready to install. I ended up using the spider heater core and modifies the heater box.
First I ground off the heater core support tabs and flipped the cable support just like everyone said.
Than I machined off about 3/8 of an inch from the support lip on the fan shroud. Now the heater box snapped shut correctly. The shroud still holds the core in place and the fan can not hit the heater core.
Thanks Dan for the wiring answer. Here is a closeup of the fan switch wiring. Tested this with a 12 volt power source.
I guess I need to install this now.
