I thought of the same thread that Bob linked. Henk showed us that car before.

It got me to thinking about the Barbie doll and her accessories. I Googled "vintage Barbie car" and was very surprised at all of the cars she had. Here are some samples:

And many others. Wow, goes to show what a good looking girl can accomplish. Reminds me of a license plate frame I saw on the back of car, "I want to be Barbie, that bitch has everything".

Every time I encounter something about Barbie I'm reminded of a time when I was in high school. This was in the Palm Springs (SoCal) area and I had a after school job as a 'stockroom clerk' (nice name for a clean up boy) at a local jewelry store (there weren't a lot of job options for young people in that area back then). One day a woman came in looking at some jewelry and I was trying to think where I knew her from. Turns out she was the original model for Mattel when they made the Barbie Doll and she looked exactly like it (my older sister had them), but much older. She still made herself up to look like the doll and even legally changed her name to Barbie Doll (no joke, it was on her credit card when she made a purchase). I did not think to ask what kind of car she drove.
