What a beautiful X1/9, looks like someone will get a nice car, that does not need much.
Some interior and both trunk photos, along with the engine bay would help to move the sale along.

Thanks for the compliments and suggestions. If my schedule opens up this weekend, I'll try to take some pics.

Sorry to hear that your selling F1. But I understand life moves on. Hopefully you find a new owner that enjoys the car as much as you did. I'll miss seeing and of course hearing your X. Sounds so good. ;)

Bloody great deal. One of us could spend $25k to get to this or just buy yours.
Thanks. I agree with you.
I'd really like the car to stay "in the family" here.
If it doesn't sell here in the next couple weeks, I'll sell it to the public via Craigslist, eBay, and/or BAT. At a premium of course.
Listed it here at what I think is a fair and reasonable price, to keep it in house.

The experts will know what this means, but for my fellow newbies: this is (I think) referring to the engine cover/bonnet, not the engine itself.

Sorry to see you're moving on! This is one of my favorite cars on here--low/wide/loud may not be just how I like it (that'd be "tall and quiet"), but it's incredibly clean, the stance looks great, and it sounds amazing.

Thanks for the kind words.
You are correct. I was referring to the engine cover and not the engine it's self.
All 1300s had the flat style cover. The '74 was slightly different from the later (75-78) 1300 versions. The height was slightly lower, the mounting point for the lift spring is in a slightly different place, and the "U" latch is significantly shorter. I had to cut the "U" on both my original cover and the 74 cover, then eventually weld the U from the late cover on to 74. It wasn't a direct swap though. Some material from the 74 U had to be retained and alot of measuring to ensure the lid would sit and function properly. I still got it about 3-5mm too high, imo 🤷‍♂️

I used to go to church at Villanova, lived in Strafford, and went to Conestoga High. Great area!

Bump

Lol, we got married at Nova, wife works there and my youngest is going there this fall. Strafford has great Spider roads. Yes, great area.

Fixed for you Ralph. And on that note; I just so happen to know of one that's for sale, that would be perfect for you
