Funny Model

In 1986 I bought an actual 1977 X 1/9 for $ 50.00 to take out the tranny and install it in my 78. But I guess times have changed.

The quality of this Yugo model I found is not too bad but I can't figure out why the model company put the Brandenburg gate as a backdrop.

Where did you found this?...I have a friend that would kill for one!!

I got it off Ebay.de from this guy:

Here is another one:

Ordering stuff off Ebay Germany is a pain. Unlike sellers in the US and the UK, a lot of Germans don't accept Paypal and want a bank transfer ($55 bank fee for any amount from my bank) or they don't want to fill out any paperwork to ship to outside of Germany (even within Europe for that matter!). Sometimes they will ship to the US if you ask them nicely.

I routinely scan Ebay.de looking for parts for my Trabant and run into the two above issues all the time. I've been looking for some chrome headlight rings for my Trabbi and none of the parts vendors seems to sell them other than individuals on Ebay Germany.

One guy was going to send them to me but wouldn't accept Paypal. Another guy accepted Paypal but didn't answer my question about shipping to me in the US.
