Grassroots movement or an intramural fight?

Isn't it almost...

impossible that some (even a significant) portion of the 99% have overlapping interests and investment in the same socio/economic structures as the 1%. This would make it an intramural (or internecine) conflict to exactly the extent of the size of the overlap there and the magnitude of the investment (education, debt, job expectation).
The authors banging on about non-profits and such and his two examples betray too much prejudice to make his more valid points stick entirley, in my view.
