Is this Stock?

Is the panel connecting the crossmember to the trunk stock or is that something some one added in over the years? the panel with the three circles cut into it? the welds on it look really sloppy

guess I better check my 79 again

but I don't think it has those holes. I know my 85 doesn't. I don't remember seeing a pannel that looked like that.

No. Not stock.

On my 1980 there is a sheet metal retaining insulating material underneath the floor of the rear trunk and turning 90 degrees to cover also the area between the engine and the muffler. If you remove it, there is nothing. You "3 holes" panel seems an add-on to replace the original removable panel.
