I took the X for it's usual fall ritual this past Saturday.
Saturday was a great day here in New England, sunny mid-70's.
Took the X for a wash & polish and then a cruise with the top down and a fine cigar. Every summer I contemplate selling her or giving her to one of my sons, but then I take the "fall cruise" and I realise that there really is no way to replace my X.
Finding my favorite twisty, wind in hair, motor eagerly reving behind my ear, people looking and pointing as I kick in the secondaries and get that extra growl out of the little engine that could...
Nope, I'll put her in the garage, get it up on stands and rebuild the calipers over the winter and look forward to the next traditional ritual...spring opening.
