You do deserve some credit Albert, you said "Prince" and it is true that he was pretty much the composer of that 'mystery riff' ...(in fact if you listen to the vocal you can hear him singing backup in places) just it wasn't his release, it was Morris & The Time... I gotta say, Morris and the Time are one of my most favorite things about the '80s... no matter how cheesy it might seem today... like Calvin Harris says, "it was acceptable in the '80s, it was acceptable at the time!" imp:
Also perhaps telling that besides my first X the '75 my favorite for so many years was my black '80 :hmm:
BTW, bad sound on this one, but it's just too fitting to pass up now that you mentioned Arsenio... man what I would have given for youtube (or the internet) in the 80s

Now that cat's out of the bag, explanation of 'chili sauce': "Too funky! The only band that Prince was afraid of! "
...another timeless Morris quote,
"I wish you could see my home, it's... it's so exciting!"
"In my bedroom, I have a ...brass ....waterbed." (her).... Really?
"Mm hmm. It's just surrrounded by plants, and lights and sh*t"... imp:
Men,it was all about that Funky Rythm, cool looks and dancing steps...
Nothing like the 80`s,and i have nephews and nices in their 20`s andteens and they all agree.Only thing is they call them "Classics" now!!!!:eyepop::eyepop:.....meaning that we are classics too!!!..:excited:
