The steering pivots that I invented replace the little plastic/phenolic washer that the McPherson struts pivot on in X1/9's and 128's. This is how the steering takes place. Most of the washers get cracked or broken over time. The phenolic washer also centers the strut rod to the upper spring perch. I designed a metal part that holds a roller bearing to replace this fragile piece. The result is smoother steering and accurate location of the strut rod.
I do not have any left, but C. Obert & Co. is going to make a run of them and stock them for the future. I think they are worth it. You can reach them at 831 423 0218.
