My latest mod - Booties!!

Mark Plaia

True Classic
We have entered rainy season here in the Pacific Northwest. The down side of running the full coilover setup that I do is that the strut rod and consequently the upper strut seal are exposed to the elements. I did some research and found coilover covers made by Kirkey, the folks who make the aluminum seats. Here are before and after photos:

Ciao,

Nice "outfit"... does it come with a little rain-hat and rubbers too???

HAHAHAHA...

On a serious note... can they be installed "around the springs"... or do you have to remove them and slide them over the top?

What a find Mark... you never cease to amaze me!

The top of the boot has a hole in it......

and the side skirts have hook-n-loop closures. They are too long, but I just folded the excess up inside.

The top end of the strut does have to be disassembled. I had to cut the top hole slightly larger so that it fits snug around lower cone and is not pinched by the rubber of the top mount.

Ciao,

Well, that'll work... I wonder about "trapped moisture"...

... especially up in your area. I guess time will tell..
