Are you missing the tag on the dash and have no panels with it imprinted in them?

Titles on older cars often have errors. I had to have mine revised on one of my cars.

The prefix I suspect is specific to your state and is not part of the VIN

On Scorpions the Vin is also found stamped into the scuttle area, under the hood facing the frunk. About an inch down from the lip that separates the frunk from the cowl area, slightly off center towards the passenger side. The digits are about a half inch tall and fairly obvious once you know where to look.

The missing leading 0 seems to tie up with the info on the Dutch site:

If it is, then it's not on the Dutch site registry, so might be worth contacting Arnoud

the main number is 1498 You have the only scorpion with a chassis number 1498

I guess NJ forgot a “0” in the title from 25 years ago. I’m headed to the DMV today to straighten it out. Thank you for all your help. Anthony
