New Camshaft Grind for my 1.6 stroker build.

Just Another FIAT Freak
Friday I went and paid a visit to my friends at webcamshafts.com. I brought them a new cam for regrinding, and an old PBS SX-1 cam I had in my possesion for measuring it's parameters. The PBS measurement is to see how fast a ramp angle I can get away with on the new grind I wish to make.

The way this new grind thing works is they get the basic engine construction parameters (8 valve, shim type flat tappet) and I tell them what I'm looking for. Then they find a few grind profiles in their CNC programs that comes closest to matching what i want.

Since this is a street build and I want to run a quiet muffler, I am opting for a camshaft with slightly longer exhaust duration, and one which gives a nice progressive pull as the rpms climb to the redline.

The requested parameters are:
Intake: 230-235 * .050
Exhaust: 240-245 * .050
Lobe angle: 108 degrees
Lift: .390" - .400" range.

Once I get their profile matches, I'll look to see what can be used to make them work. Stay tuned for more info, and feel free to offer any feedback on what I am proposing.
