Can anyone shed some light on the difference between “Nero 601” & “Nero 551”?

Even though my vehicle is 8/87 it’s “Nero 551” even though that colour is listed for ‘88!
The Fiat/Bertone colour codes appear to be a bit haphazard particularly the 809, 866 Grey’s which go with the black in the 2 tone combinations.
I’ve found the colour swatches for 809 & 866 but can’t find 551?.
Any clarify the difference in 601 & 551?

Remember, none of those are FIAT or Bertone documents.

I have many other “Fiat” documents, all list 601 but don’t list 551 as on my boot lid so I’d still like to know what the difference is.

Ok, on further investigation I can answer my own question!
231.551 is a Maserati paint code which corresponds to Ditzler Code 9000/9300 which corresponds to Bertone/Fiat code 601. Do 601 & 551 are the same colour, bizarre!
