Rare as Rocking Horse droppings

What is it?...

Entirely handbuilt or did it start as something else?

I thought an Invicta was one of those Toad of Toad Hall kind of things.

There was the usual fanfare ...

About resurrecting a famous name from the '30s (nicely proportioned Lagonda-like sports tourer with, from memory, a Meadows straight six of 4.5 litres), but, like the fugly-from-birth Jensen SV1, it is technically still in production but, other than this example, I've not heard of a single one.
Frankly, to me, it looks a bit like a sharper design has had too long in the sun and, as a result, it's started to melt at its extremities.
See the official site: http://www.invictacars.co.uk/home.html For me it looks better in steel grey than in silver :drink:

p.s looks current but check out the inception date on the lower left of the website - 2008!:dead:
