True Classic
A while ago I repaired the rear wing with 3MM steel rod and fiber re-enforced resin. This makes the ends stiff ands secure. The down side of the repair was that I lost one of the filler panels so I just filled in the panel with body filler.
First step is to mask off the work area with 2 layers of good quality masking tape.
Since the amount of filler is fairly thick 3 layers of filler were done.
Sanding with 40 Grit paper to rough shape then 100 grit to smooth out.
Retape and primer is next, I used a small HVLP gun to apply the primer.
Base coat was done with a Pache air brush along with the clear coat. There were some small imperfections, but it really won't be seen.
Ready for install the next day.
