Guys. I'm back after a long hiatus.
I just got an 87 Bertone with the Speedline CD-91 "Phone dial" wheels. The center caps are plastic and held in on the inside of the wheel with plastic tabs that seem to lock (into a groove?) on the inside of the hub area. The ones I have are not completely brittle but are sun-baked so that the black plastic is milky gray-white and the clear plastic covering the "b" for Bertone is hazed.
I want to remove the ones I have and possibly see if I can refurbish them, or if I have to, replace them. Do any of you have a trick for getting these out without destroying them or breaking the plastic retainer tabs on the inside?
Thanks.
