A local speed shop had a dyno day last weekend and My brother and I went to compete for the lowest HP... He won.. Datsun 1200 totally stock put 50.2 HP to the ground and the 80 carb'ed x put 64.2 down. Woo Hoo.
The thing I wasn't expecting was the A/F was at 10-10.5, Way rich. The only thing that is non stock is the air pump seized and was removed and the lines plugged. I can't imagine that causing the rich condition.
I wasn't planning on doing anything with the carb but now I may try re-jetting it,depending on how long it takes to get the FI package ready to go.
It's been a while since I did any jetting, could I up the air corrector a bit or do I need to mess with the emulsion tube as well. I need to see if I can find my weber book.
Any suggestions?
