Could be a nice starting point...

for a more serious effort.

I'm always a bit leary of "race cars" that don't advertise as eligible for any particular SCCA class.

And there's no way I'd go door-to-door in that car, there is no driver side protection from the cage, which I doubt is even legal in most sanctioning bodies.

Neat car

Pretty clearly an auto-cross car from "back in the day" that was dug out of someone's garage and is trying to be flipped.

This car would need some, but not much to be brought up to SVRA or Vintage spec.

The plastic fuel filter and stock fuel tank tells me this car never saw wheel-to-wheel action.

This would be a seriously fun vintage car, and a great starting point. You wouldn't feel guilty ruining a really rare car to make a hot-rod out of it. Someone else already has to sleep with that on their concience. lol.

The Scorpion is a very viable racecar without a lot of mods. Dave Strittmatter finished 6th in F-production at this year's SCCA Runoffs in his.
