You really see how far ahead this design really was when you see it
in a modern setting. The other cars kinda blend in with it not like in
the 70s and 80s where they really did. What am I talking about they still must because every time I drive mine I see others taking pics or stopping
me asking about it.
Back in the day... those California Blue Plates were...
almost indistinguishable from Oregon Plates!
So Oregon changed theirs...
Personally, I like the newer plates in White as they better "fit" most cars from a color perspective.
My '70 Duster 340 (bought new in Oregon for $2633.61 out the door) was a Medium Metallic Blue with Yellows accents (painted drums and calipers) and Duster Decals. Both Oregon and California plates in Blue and Yellow "complimented" this car... but would look like crap on a Red car. (This could be construed as an "opinion..." but I think I'm RIGHT! HA!)
holy crap!! that in my back yard almost. never seen it before, but the driver has my nose and hair. maybe I was sleep driving or something.
