I need the hose that runs from the passenger side air scoop to the alternator shroud. It is shiny, wire reinforced. If you have clamps for it, better still. Needs to be in very good condition. Thanks
The clamps are ordanary gear clamps and the pipe you need is sold by the foot. You need the piping that is used to prevent carb freezing. It goes from the exhaust man to the aircleaner.
I got some hose at my hardware store that fits fine. It's blue plastic and probably pool hose but it hasn't melted and fits. Something like $1/foot. The other stuff is better in every way except it's 10x the price and hard to get.
You can also order at your local NAPA, but when I did even though the picture in the catalog was of a silver aluminized duct hose, when it came in it was black/paper covered.
I learned of the need for the hose as I was cleaning the engine compartment. Saw the shroud on the alternator, then found the corresponding outlet from the right side air scoop. Went to FLU in VA, and was able to photo some examples.
