Wow, I haven't been "in" a Scorpion in 25 years and boy do I miss it.

Man, your car looks great! Thanks for sharing.

Best regards, Chris

Beautiful car mate, I'd soooooo love to get behind the wheel of one sometime. I'm not even sure if they were imported into Australia, I saw one about three years ago here, that was the only one I've seen in real life.

Wow Nicest I've ever seen

That is one slick looking ride, congrats on that beauty! If the X is fairly rare these days this car is like spotting the white tiger in the wild, I never see them on the road these days, but saw a clapped out one visiting in PA awhile back. This car and an early 1300 X were the 2 cars I used to walk by and watch for for delivering newspapers at 6am...circa 1977-78 in the way back machine, got me hooked on mid-engined cars and these in particular. Got the blood racing every time, and seeing yours I know still works!

Jeff

I kept it under 15mph...

Wow, Nice Ride!

That is by far the best example of the X-1/9's big brother I've seen in a looong time!

I like the overall look the Daytona's give it, but it seems that a little lowering may be needed. 195/45-14's seem a little too small in diameter and they do not fully fit the wheelwells.

That being said, Great Car!:worship:

Damn JJ...

...Your detailer is amazing. I always look forward to pics of your cars' finishes. Your fleet always seems to have the deepest paint. Great job on the leather, as well. I love the the color you chose.

Looks real nice JJ

BTW... ever heard of a thumbnail link? This thread loads slow even on my broadband connection. ;)

I`m going to name you: JJ the car "Flipper".....

outstanding job my friend.Have you given the thought of using the same seat leather in the dash and center console? and what about re-dying or getting a black carpet set? that would make that leather color "jump at you".Are you keeping this one? a keeper? or are we planning a new Ebay record?.....
Great job:headbang: ..by the way, those Daytonas look familiar, does by any chance they came from TX?....lol:mallet::mallet:

Yes those are the Texas Rims. I am going to sell the car because of space more than anything. But I will enjoy her a little first.. I am keeping the carpet original because it is in decent condition. The next owner can change it. The dash would be an extra 700 dollars to do in Leather and a pain in the Arse to put back together. The dash is the weak point of a scorpion. I am not a car flipper. I am a car rescuer and restorer. Albert you would be amazed at how often I lose money on cars by making them perfect. I can give you some examples. The following pictures will ilistrate...

Car Invested amount
Ferrari 82,000
Mercedes 26,000
Alfa Romeo 14,000
Yellow X 11,000
62Fiat1200 10,000
Limousine 17,000
total 160,000

I put some pics up with a reciept on the Alfa for some repair to show you what Im talking about. I really like cars and variety. I in no way made money on any of the above examles. In fact I lost about 49,000 dollars on just these examples...But you are right. I do have a short attention span on cars. I just dig em...
And I feel I have just begun...:mallet:

yeap,i`v seen all your cars come and go from your hands,...

all over the time you`ve being here.As i told you before, i was self employed in the car business from 1991 until 2000.Best time i ever had.Traveling to the auctions in FL(from PR) every month, very exciting. But i learned one thing then;"to buy cars for the people/masses" not what i really liked.Believe me i learned the hard way but recuperated from it........I bet you are like me and many others.Every day looking at Ebay,Craigslist,Autotrader etc, looking for bargains and i`ve seen a lot and personally have been very close to buy some in order to resell it Iater. But the way the economy is don`t want to take the risk right now. I believe its a sickness.:mallet::wacko:
But love your Lancia, let me see if i get to go your way again soon before you sell it.The other day rode on Pete W. red one and did like it a lot..............:hypno:

I will sell the lancia over the next 30 days some time. Here is my latest purchase. 92 500sl convertible two owner with perfect leather and a new top. Im only asking 4500 bucks for the car... That should tell you I didnt pay much for it... There are always opportunities. That black bmw I picked up for 1600 dollars...

Honestly I just want to buy another Ferrari and a couple of nice daily drivers and get rid of most of the other cars...Im saving up for a decent house agian... I miss owning a house...
