87 (obviously)
40 some odd thousand miles.
pretty much rust free.

Owner was super nice guy.
Will be addressing a few issues and putting up for sale soon.

HAHAHA... I still don't understand...

Did you buy the car or is it his?

And seriously... I think you'd make a good friend (fiatwise, at least!)

No, it is still his. he will put it up for sale in a month or so after he does a timing belt and water pump, and paints the primered engine lid.

I thik he will want ~$6000, so I will let all know when it comes up for sale.

You are indeed a wealthy and...

"daring" young man...

Just having the 3 X's is a BIG win... and the expensive part will be restoring and maintaining the Spider.

Some might call you a masochist... which is probably more accurate than "wealthy and daring"!

HA!

Thanks Papa Tony. I haven't been called a young man in a LONG time.

On the subject of masochistic behavious, I do daily drive one of Germanys last 5 cyl turbo cars and all the complexity that the superior engineers at Audi could throw at it.

That being said, there is a reason I cruise the classifieds for 65/66/67 Ford Fairlane big block manual transmission cars....
