Targa headliner

I have an '83 X with a chipped targa top that also has damage where it contacted the hood while stowed. I bought an earlier undamaged targa top, but it does not have the headliner. Can anyone tell me how to remove the headliner form the targa top? Can the headliner be installed in the earlier top?

Targa tops have a headliner?? Neither of mine do, assumed that was standard. Any pics of how they look would be appreciated please.
 
Yes, The early AC equipped cars had them, they looked very much like every other Italian car's headliner in the period. The later cars had a more "modern" look IMO.
 
87 targa headliner. Remove all the trim & drill out all the retaining rivets

some years prior I had removed the butyl damper that had hardened & fallen off the lid, and put batting in instead
