Teflon valve seals?

Just a general question, it is on a twin cam lancia engine for my X. I just finished the port/polish lapped the valves and have my new springs ready for assembly. I have a complete gasket kit but I have seen teflon valve stem seals available and wondering if there is any advantage over the standard ones I have from the kit. Anyone have any experience with them either way?

Not sure, but I would go with Teflon

I chose to use Teflon valve seals on my race motors since they should be able to reduce friction on a part that needs to accelerate quickly. I have no data to say they work better, but I have not experienced any problems with them over several years of racing. Since they are pretty cheap as performance upgrades go, I think they are worth the extra money.

I had kaki teflon pants one, water and stuff would roll right off them... but still managed to stain them with orange soda. So if you get them, keep them away from orange soda!
