My car is lowered ('86), And when I tried to put the front end on a dolly, I almost ripped the complete fron end. (Spoiler and bumper covers).
Thereafter, I put the rear axle on the dolly with no problem at all!
Just remember to live the front wheels straight and remove the keys (to lock the steering!)
Actually, I discovered that was very easy to tow it at freeway speeds because the heavy part of the car was resting on the dolly.

Look at the top from the rear and you will see why this could happen, especially if the little hooks on the rear of the top are worn.
To be safe, take the top off when towing from the rear.
