It was a lot easier to do than I expected...except for one thing. The cable was defective. Got it up to 20 miles perhour and it snapped. I was extreemly carefull not to twist it or anything durring the install, but it still snapped. Oh well, I can not install a new one untill middle of May or so, since IAP is out of stock...this really bites...I wanna know how fast I am going!!<!-- google_ad_section_end -->

50, 80, 100 and 120 kph (limits here in holland)
and stuck the note on my speedometer.
4000 rpm in 5th = 120 kph = 75 mph
50 kph in 4th (city driving) = 2000 rpm (I think)
etc.

We have found (as a general rule) that in 3rd gear the revs almost exactly match up with speed in miles per hour, give or take a mph or two.
For example, 3k in 3rd gear is in the neighborhood of 30mph, 3½k in 3rd is about 35mph etc.
Holly has gotten so good at this that when I am following her in another car, there is no way I could know her speedometer doesn't work!
