Want a purple 124 in Yuma AZ?

Being from Yuma it was likely a black car that faded to purple; the desert sun is brutal on cars. :D
Wrong head bolts? Bet you will need to do a lot more work than what's implied.
 
Probably just munged up head bolt holes in the block and the head bolts won't tighten down....fairly typical problem with 124s and easy to fix, just chase the threads in the head bolt holes in the block. Overcoming the terrible paint choices will cost a bit more.
 
I have no taste, and plan on finishing my X in dark purple metalflake. But even I wouldn't go with purple flames on a basically black car with BRIGHT gold and purple engine and driveline components. I mean, come on! They would probably need go with a gold mohair interior with purple shag carpet? Hmmm. Might need a 14karat gold cupholder for your jewelled chalice. Pimp'n all the way! (Please do not be specifically offended, if you are a pimp. No disrespect intended.)
 
Hey, as a pimp I am offended! My pimp-mobile has matching purple throughout - none of the gold crap. I saved that for my grill - and I don't mean on the car.
