Wanted: Rear Struts/Spring Perch

I am looking for some pre-1979 rear struts or rear spring perchs to allow the attachment of post-1980 struts. This is what the perches look like:

Hey I may have some of those perches... Anyway to tell if they're pre '79?

I am looking for post-1980 perches, they are the most common and should accept only post-1980 struts. Here is a quote from MB:

"This design uses an integral steel strut locating/mounting cone beneath the body-mount doughnut. Earlier cars use a thick aluminum lower cone and a different strut mount.

These units accommodates for the shorter top-shaft of the 1980-on, factory-supplied rear struts. "

So maybe test for steel or aluminum?

OK, here is what I have... send me your zip code for a shipping quote. They are the same length but slightly different as one has the cone welded on and the other one doesnt have the cone at all.

Looks about right, do they have a steel cone or a thick aluminum cone?
