well, it is alive, got it running, smoking has stopped, got timing set. I put really rich jets in my 34 datr, and now I'm working down. I guess the larger intake valves required a much different jetting
Anyways, I know basically how a carb works, but all the little details always went over my head, as I'm a visual guy....I can understand 2d drawings, but there's nothing better than 3d. Found this site that shows a little better how our carbs work- thought I'd share...enjoy!

I've seen, and read, a lot of carb books and this is very cool. Good diagrams and it even mentions the black art that is emulsion tubes.
