What does it take to impress an east-coastie?

It's hard to take in ...

but I'm sure that car was one of my fixxer-uppers a few years back!

The reg plate is very familiar. These late model Bertones like the Gran Finale run-out models were very badly protected against the British climate.
The guy who's restoring it doesn't look to be expert (just enthusiastic) and hasn't discovered the real rot laying along the bulkhead joint line with the floorpan - or the rear right side (ps in US) shock tower/chassis rail - or the sills which rot out from the inside.

Good luck to the brave lad but no marks for having ignored plenty of better cars I've seen recently which showed none of these rot outbreaks and have been sold for peanuts (£100 in one case).
