Got my car all ready for a car show tonight, picked it up at noon, went to grab lunch and when I came out and jumped in to drive off something hit my foot.
Car drove ok, but I know it came out of the steering column area. What is it and where does it go?
Car manufacturers are known to put extra nuts and bolts around their cars as practical jokes. I say ignore it. (I'm sure someone will chime in with useful information)
It's one of the bolts that holds the steering column up. The front two (towards the driver) go through holes in the steering column bracket. The back two are like clamps ( the square thing) that pinches the steering column bracket between the clamp and the dash..................I think.
