Who is Giuseppe Puleo?

In the article on the abarth x1/9 his name is mentioned as the designer of the chassis of the X1/9.
Before the x1/9 he had been working on the Lancia Stratos.

On the web I could only find a photo where he is standing in front of a x1/9 when it was introduced.
Xweb turned up one hit, with a post from Bernice.

Anyone have more info on Puleo?
Is there something specific in the design of the chassis of the x1/9 that can be recognized as Pulio or his earleir designed 'Stratos'?

Here is the link to the great article on the abarth x1/9 where I saw his name for the first time:*http://www.sfconline.org.uk/models/x1-9 prototipo/x1-9prototipo.asp

As a thought, was Puleo sometimes seen in Sant'Agata. A Lamborghini link?

There is also some (maybe) older info like results where it might be the same Puleo piloting a Fiat 127 in certain rallies ...

Thanks for the links.
Hmmm...do you think this is the same person, it's not really clear to me.

Puleo

Ing. Giuseppe Puleo was director of advanced design in Fiat's research and development department, working under Dante Giacosa, the chief engineer at the time. He was responsible for all engineering and design (except body) of the X1/9. There is a nice article where they ask him questions about the X1/9 on MOTOR of Dec 1973.

And now I quote from the British magazine MOTOR from Dec. 1 1973

"Two lines of development were therefore started, one for a front engined coupe (which has since blossomed as the 128 coupe) and the other for a mid engined sports car to replace the Bertone 850 Spider which had just ceased production. This was the stage at which the project was handed to Ing. Puleo with the target set as a true sports car for medium series production which would be produced at an economic price and which would be safe in the hands of the average driver".

That's my 2 cents.:)

Thanks for scanning the article Ulix.
I wasn’t able to find it on-line.

There is a lot of new info for me...and as a real Xjunkie, I like it :)
Great to read so much background details.
