Would you reuse flywheel bolts?

Eric Hamilton
These are the bolts that hold the flywheel to the crankshaft. Would you reuse them if are in good shape and a nut runs smoothly so you know they haven't stretched?

Car is being be used as a good weather daily driver and for the occasional autocross.

I have reused the flywheel bolts in the past without incident. Having said that, i seem to remember a couple of guys around here having failures and it's not pretty. I suggest you change them for ARP ones. They have ones that will fit.

I routinely reuse the flywheel bolts as long as they are in good shape. I have done this probably a dozen times over the past 7 years, and I have never had a bolt failure despite routinely running the motor up to 9000 RPM. I always clean the mating surfaces well, use threadlocking compound, and torque to spec.
