True Classic
Yesterday, I met my friend, Bud Moeller, at Infineon to watch him test his Ferrari 312-T5 Formula 1 car.

You're supposed to be able to view these photos from facebook, even if you don't have a facebook account:

Please let me know if you can't see the pics, and would like to.

Here are three very short videos:

Very very cool

This is my dream retirement scenario, getup around 10, go drive vintage formula one car, rinse and repeat.

That is my all time favorite Ferrari F1 car.... Just before ground effects ruined the concept of 'trying new ideas'... Does he have the 'mid-wing' configuration that this car used in Long Beach and Monaco?

Send more pictures!

OMG How awesome is that... I believe that's the car from one of my all time favorite wheel to wheel battles....

really nice toys he has there..... I do have one question.... He doesn't appear to be a 'small' guy (I am DEFINITELY not one to talk here..), how does he fit in those tiny cockpits? Many of the cars from that era are actually built around the phyique of the driver (who are not known for being large)... I have tried to squeeze my butt in a couple cars only to find that I only make ot about half way in!

Lately, Bud's been enjoying the good life more...

...than usual. That was probably the heaviest I've seen him over the last four years. After Dan Marvin got out of the car, the crew did remove a lot of padding from the seat before Bud got in. This particular car will accommodate a fairly large person. I've sat in it.

Regards,

I'd love to check out the car in person. I'm still trying to get work to send me to Pebble Beach and the Monterey Historics this year. As soon as I found out Alfa was this year's featured marque I've been hounding my boss to send us.

Glad to hear we still have people in the world like your friend Bud,humble and willing to share their high roller hobby with people like us.Nice pics,i`ll give anything to be alongside that Ferrari 312 when revving. Thanks for sharing,.....
