Gotcha. Looking back at those pics I wasn't sure if the orange was intended to widen and contour the panel, or simply contour it. I picked up my sheet yesterday & had to cut it down to fit it in my hatchback, so I simply cut it into four 2x4 panels. When I got it home & held it up across the windshield, it appeared I had under-estimated the width. So, I'll just do as you did to rectify
The foil peels easily from one side, not so much from the blue plastic film side
I'm leaning more & more to a hybrid version that uses the binnacle I like, with the dash body like yours. I don't like the later blob of a glovebox, and the tie in to the armrests just looks way better to balance the 'weight' of the dash. Looking at the baseline of the gauges, the later IP has a similar offset, so I should be able to follow your lead on the basic structure layout, then revise as I need to work the wider binnacle into it.
I'll have to make adjustments for the right side where the glove box meets the binnacle, and I may have to scrap that idea depending on how it looks 'in the flesh', but it gives me a starting place
Thanks for your pioneering work here
