Just a follow up as I am Vince, the seller of the car. I did not flip it, as there was an owner in Southern California, between me and the owner of the car in Michigan you are referring to, who sold me the car for more than my asking price. In addition, I since upgraded the brakes, removed the electric fuel pump (not a fan of the sound), and worked on the clutch for smoother shifting. Also, I advertised it as the best year because in CALIFORNIA all cars '76 and up need to be smog certified every 2 years, and I am not a fan of the ladder bumpers on the '75's, so thus my opinion. On another site, people debated that the Fuel Injected cars are better.... but again, in California you can do anything you want with this car without fear that it will not pass smog. I could have better prefaced my opinion that this would be your best choice in an X1/9 and be able to keep it on the road in CALIFORNIA. As for the color, it's polarizing. Some really like it, I fall into that camp, and others hate it. It's a bold color that represents the era, is the color on the cover of the brochure in '74, and I receive thumbs up whenever I drive it, but if you don't like it, it won't change your opinion, I get it. Lastly, the car sold the 2nd day I was able to show it, and sorry to those that inquired and were not able to view the car. My work requires that I travel constantly, so I had a very short window to sell the car. Wishing you all the best, as it was a very fun car to drive, even if it was such a short time, and hopefully there will be another in my future.
