Fuel injected Lancia Scorpion at no reserve auction (not mine)

If I ever do an engine swap, it'll be a Busso. I think it really turns the Scorpion into almost a mini Dino 246. What bothers me more than the installation work is that clearances in swaps I've seen look like the engine must be removed for the belt service every five to seven years. It's already a $1,200 job for a pro wrench on my Milano with the engine in place and good access, having to remove the engine would triple that fee.

Me, I want to go smaller. If I had stupid money laying around. I would like to try one of those super 1.9 sohc motors. The weight saving plus having the motor before the axle not over it would be neat.

Also a wrx motor would be killer too. Nice low center of gravity. Balanced weight. Just dreaming.
