HALELUJAH!
I finally had two minutes to myself to look into this problem and discovered to my amazement ANOTHER in line fuse holder buried under the rat's nest of wiring the fine folks at FIAT provided me for my head scratchin' pleasure. That is a total of 3 in-line fuses under the dash. TonyK said the connector in question had a brown wire on it. The one I THOUGHT was the correct one had a brown/white striped one on both sides of the connector. The other fuse holder had a pink wire on one side and a red one on the other. The holder that turned out to be the correct one did indeed have a brown wire. Does anyone know what the other 2 are for? one had a 16A fuse and one had an 8A.
