Just Another FIAT Freak
I had a exhaust sound related experience today. I started up and drove my bone stock '78 after recieving help from neighbor, who helped me bleed my clutch hydraulics today.
He is from Serbia, and owned a Zastava and a Fiat 127 years ago in his homeland. He said "I am really dissapointed on how your Fiat sounds. It sounds nothing like the pop pop pop sound the older Fiats had. Without looking, I could stand on any street and tell when a Fiat was approaching. They all sounded the same. Your car sounds too refined and quiet."
I chuckled and said "Don't worry, my '74 has a manual choke and a hole in the muffler. I'm sure it will make all the right sounds for you."
