Greg - are the strut doubles correct for a '74 1300 car or "just" later 1500 cars?

As far as i know they fit all X1/9's. There is a thread on the subject:

Obviously I never got around to putting them in. They are both a "fix" if your strut towers are deformed and a prophylactic to prevent future damage. I checked and they do not fit my Scorpion, which has round strut tower tops, not the "D" shape that the X has. Otherwise I'd keep 'em.
